Please review our most frequently asked questions, to help clarify the process. What exactly is a Virtual Assistant (VA)? VAs are high-level, experienced business support specialists who work from their own offices, use their own equipment, and provide business support services to small business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, or anyone who needs off-site support to get organized and get moving. They are highly-trained individuals who understand the online community and can make it work for your business. Why do I need a Virtual Assistant? Virtual Assistants are dedicated, driven, masterfully skilled administrative professionals who genuinely want to powerfully impact the lives of people they work with. Q: I can see why it's a great idea for busy people everywhere, but I have to ask, does it work? Why would a client consider it? A: For the client, working virtually is especially powerful for many reasons: - Giving work away that doesn't need his/her attention gives back time and space for an abundance of other things, which may include:
- Growing a business
- Doing just the work he/she loves
- Spending more time with family and friends
- Seeking other opportunities or being able to take advantage of those already aware of
- More life balance
- No need to share space in a home-office, or find additional office space for an employee
- No need to buy additional equipment
- No need to deal with the managing of an employee
- No need to deal with the administration details associated with payroll
- No need to pay associated payroll taxes, insurance, and possibly benefits
- No need to adhere to Federal and State mandates, like OSHA, the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act
- No need to pay someone else to administer all of the above, so that he/she isn't further bogged down.
- Gets to interact with another business owner (the VA!!) who isn't simply task oriented, but instead, wants to help find great solutions to challenges and the best ways to really go for opportunities.
You can see that there are powerful reasons for a client to consider working with a VA!
If you’re not in my office, how do we communicate in an efficient manner? We communicate via email, phone, fax, or regular mail, so Dream Virtual Assistant can support you from around the corner or around the globe. We also decide upon a response and turnaround time together, for everything from important projects to daily communications.
So I pay your hourly rate... and that’s it? No taxes? No insurance? Because a virtual assistant is a small-business owner, like yourself, and not an employee, you simply pay our retainer fee and any miscellaneous expenses we incur on your behalf (such as postage or long distance). This frees you from having to deal with personnel management headaches like taxes and insurance. And, because we’re off-site, there’s no equipment to buy (unless there is specific, proprietary software or other machinery that’s necessary in our office to support you efficiently).
So, what are your rates? Different clients have different support needs, so your rate depends on your unique scope of work, how many hours of support per month you’re looking for, and other factors. If you want to take your business to the next level, our virtual assistance will get you there. Email me at gloria.lewis@dreamvirtualassistant.com, and I’d be happy to provide you with a personalized quote.

You suspect that you need an assistant. But you’re avoiding the exhausting hiring process, because you can’t get past what you know you don’t want:
- Someone on-site in your home/office.
- A basic skill set, limited to receptionist or customer service clerk duties.
- A commitment to paying out a full-time salary.
- An employer’s management costs (insurance, taxes, vacation/sick leave, equipment, etc.)
- Someone for whom an assistant’s position is a stepping stone to another career. You’re not out to hire an intern, and you certainly have no time to train someone who’s posing as an assistant in an effort to learn how to do what you do.
|
- Professional, efficient, off-site support which maximizes available technology (phone, fax, and email) to deliver on-site results without having to crowd your office space... or force you to purchase another desk, computer, and phone.
- An experienced, high-level business support specialist with a proven, time-tested skill set.
Advanced business skills in critical areas like business management, client relations, negotiations, and marketing communications. - The flexibility of paying for only the business support hours you need, without the hassle of personnel management costs like taxes and insurance.
- A business support specialist who is proud to be a high-octane assistant, and who has built a thriving business on supporting the entrepreneurial visions of other powerful independent thinkers.
